For the first nine months of 2009, Wingate’s NAV is up 19.2% (+36.1% in US dollars).
Compared to the technology heavy Nasdaq index, the year to date gain of 36.1% exceeds the Nasdaq gain of 34.6% and seriously beats the general market gains of 17.0% for the S&P 500 and +10.7% for the Dow Jones.
The last 12 months to September 30, 2009, incorporates both a bear market stage (Sep 08 to Mar 09) and a bull market stage (Mar 09 to Sep 09). Over this latest 12 month period, Wingate is up +11.9%, compared to a gain of +1.5% for the technology heavy Nasdaq, a loss of – 9.4% for the S&P 500 and a loss of -10.5% for the Dow Jones.
